On Saturday, September 20th, the Marion County Republican Committee held their annual fund raising Event. Over 100 attending.  Very successful day with lots of fellowship and information from our Marion County Judge Jason Stumph, State Representative Jason Nazarenko, Sherrif Greg Alexander.     We also heard from several candidates who have decided to run for office in Marion County in the next election.

County Chairman Bob Zdora was a bit under the weather so Karen Carter,1st Vice Chairman and past Chairman of Marion County  Republican Committee  orchestrated the days events.

Thank you to the amazing Event Committee who worked many long hard hours in planning this years event.

At the dinner the Republican Women of Marion County recognized the two scholarship winners are: Miss Taylor Henley, graduate of Flippin High School majoring in veterinarian medicine and

Miss Bailea Grace Akins, graduate of Yellville-Summit High School majoring in anesthesiology. RWMC offers the scholarship every year.  This year each recipient received $750.  Scholarship Chair Cyndi Mueller will be getting in touch with the Mairon County High Schools to provide them with Scholarship information.  If you have a homeschool eligible student, please do not hesitate to contact RWMC.

Currently RWMC is holding a raffle to raise funds.  The number and amount of scholarship is based on the amount of funds RWMC raises each year.

This year Republican Women of Marion County had 21 baskets for fundraising.  The funds raised will go to candidates.  Many thanks to Chairman of that project Shari Sharp for coordinating and helping to make it a success.  A big thank you to Mike Moffet who contributed the most sought after basket of homemade sauces, jerky, wine, picnic basket and the list goes on.

​This year's dinner was a little different. After each speaker spoke, they drew a trivia question.  People raised their  hands to answer question. If they answered correctly Bryan Sorensen would chuck them a Trump duck.  Bryan was the official Trump Duck Chucker.  Bryan and his wife's Sandy donated the Trump Ducks and the "tiny" Jesus figures or some call them "baby Jesus that were on the tables.  After all, we all need a little Jesus in our lives.  Many thanks to Debbie Schnoor for her hardworking selling tickets for the baskets.  Tony Todaro stepped in for Chairman Bob Zdora selling 50/50 tickets.  Gary Scnoor and Jason Zdora did a great job with the video presentations. Job well done by all.
